Why did I write Journey of Hope

What I love most about my work at Christianfilmdatabase.com is writing and connecting with people.  My two passions in life have been people and cats!  Don’t stop reading if you hate cats!  While I am no longer in cat rescue, I still love people…all kinds of people, and I love sharing about my life with others, especially if it can glorify my Lord and Savior Jesus!

I went through a really rough patch in my life, which led me to the point of suicide, even while a professed Christian.  This book is about my struggles and trials during this portion of my life, including what led me there, and how God delivered me from severe depression after these trials ended.

Without HOPE we have nothing.  Without GOD, WHO is our hope, we have nothing.  I would have given up, if it weren’t for my strong belief in God and knowing He was real and with me at all times.

This book also talks a lot about practical ways to overcome depression, as well as any struggle over sin.  I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is struggling…Christian and Non-Christian.

Chapter 4

Then I saw it.  I looked up and hanging from a tree was a perfectly formed crown of thorns.  These were not real thorns but soft.  I pulled it down from the tree branch and asked forgiveness from God for considering suicide when I was suffering as a result of my own choices.  Jesus suffered innocently for me.  What right did I have to take my own life?  Then I knew I was forgiven, I was freed from that guilt and I had peace.

Walk a Mile in My Shoes

My prayer is that God will be glorified in the reading of this book and that many souls would be touched by the Holy Spirit as a result of what I’ve experienced.  To bring HOPE to others is the true goal of this book!  May it bring hope and encouragement to you and a proof that God exists and DOES care for all of us!

I love you so much and have since before anything existed.  I’ve poured out My love on you from heaven above and earth below.  I’ve poured out My love from a manger and down from a cross.

Both today’s enjoyments and today’s difficulties on earth are real, but they are both temporary.  Your forever rejoicing will come soon – when I do.  Until then, know that you are loved, and let that love fill you with peace this very day.
