“Ordinary Guy” ~ CFDb Recommendation & Review

Ordinary Guy

You’ve seen films that show how the Lord has used the famous athlete, musician, or politician. Now see how the Lord can use the Ordinary Guy.

What happens when an ordinary guy who has made Christ the Lord of his “religion” suddenly makes him Lord of his career, his free time, his romantic interests, of his life?

Life does not get easier for Guy, now that he’s a full-time Christian. Guy is suddenly alienated from his fiancée and her father, a long-awaited job opportunity is ruined, his fiancée’s former boyfriend reappears, and the inner city ministry he began seems doomed to a violent end.

An ordinary guy might crack up under this combination of circumstances. But maybe Guy isn’t so ordinary anymore, and his total commitment to Jesus Christ is enough to produce extraordinary results.

Awarded Best Film of the Year 1981 by the Academy of Christian Cinema graphic Arts.

This Christian Classic is one of the BEST Christian Films I’ve ever seen.  It’s a bit goofy at time, definitely humorous, but the story is great, and the end result is life changing.  It reminds me of “Music Box” & “Super Christian“,  both great films, but “Ordinary Guy” is really something special.  This is a movie that will move you to tears, give you a burden for souls, and leave you wanting to really make a difference.

This movie shows the difference between “mainstream Christianity” and “true Christianity”.  Which character can you relate to most?  What character do you WANT to relate to?  Which character are you going to become?

I would highly recommend this film to anyone and everyone.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen this film over the years but it’s LOTS and it never gets dull because of the overwhelming message.  It’s one of those films where scenes from it come back to you through the years at different times.  This movie sticks with you.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did and even more important, I pray it touches you and reminds you of what TRUE CHRISTIANITY is all about…Surrender!

I am sure this one is interesting. I do remember seeing “Super Christian” many years ago. 🙂
