Collection and Use of Information:

CFDb does not collect any information from users, unless you choose to create a profile. If and when you create a profile, we only ask for your name and email address. CFDb will not share this info with anyone. CFDb does not sell or rent any films, so we never ask for your credit card info.

Links to Other Sites:

The CFDb website contains links to sites operated by third parties whose policies regarding the handling of personal information may differ from ours. While we endeavor to associate with reputable websites, CFDb cannot be responsible for the information handling practices of these other websites. These linked websites have separate and independent privacy statements, notices and terms of use, which we recommend you read carefully.

Viewing and Updating Your Information on CFDb:

We give you access to a favorites list and the ability to give ratings and/or make comments on individual films by becoming a member of CFDb. If you want to update or correct any of your contact information, you should do so by visiting the “Profile” section once you’ve logged in. You must be signed in to access your “Profile.”

Disclosure of Personal Information:

Except as set forth in this policy or as otherwise disclosed to you, we will not sell, rent or disclose your personal information to third parties without notifying you of our intent to share the personal information in advance and giving you an opportunity to prevent your personal information from being shared.

CFDb also reserves the right to disclose personal information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect, establish or exercise legal rights, or in situations involving potential threats to physical safety. In the event that CFDb is acquired by or merged with a third party, we reserve the right to transfer to the acquiring third party or the resulting merged entity, as the case may be, the personal information we have collected as part of that transaction provided that such third party continues to honor our Privacy Policy.

Security:

CFDb takes information security very seriously and uses reasonable administrative, technical, physical and managerial measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access. In order to provide you with ease of access to your account and to help administer the CFDb service, CFDb implements technology that enables us to recognize you as the account holder and provide you with direct access to your account without requiring you to retype any password or other user identification when you revisit the CFDb service. You can choose not to take advantage of this feature on your computer by unchecking the box “Remember me on this computer” when you login on the website. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for restricting access to your computer or device through which you access your CFDb account. If you disclose your password to anyone or share your account and/or devices with other people, you take full responsibility for their actions. Where possible, users of public or shared devices should log out at the completion of each visit. If you sell or return a computer or CFDb ready device, you should log-out and deactivate the device before doing so. If you fail to log out and deactivate your device, subsequent users may be able to access certain of your account information.

Unfortunately, no security system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information and cannot assume liability for improper access to it. By using our service, including our website and user interfaces, or providing personal information to us through any means, you agree that we can communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of the CFDb service.

Changes to This Policy:

As we update and expand our services, we may make changes to this policy. You should check back for updates to this policy from time to time. If the changes result in materially less protection for your personal information than that provided in this policy, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and obtain your consent to the changes. You acknowledge that your assent to the Terms of Use (which includes this Privacy Policy) subsequent to any changes made following your initial consent will satisfy the foregoing obligation. Similarly, your use of the CFDb website or continued use of our service after our posting of changes to this policy, or efforts to contact you, means that you agree to be bound by such changes. The most current version of this Privacy Policy can be reviewed by visiting our website and clicking on “Privacy Policy” located at the bottom of the pages of the CFDb website. The most current version of the Privacy Policy will supersede all previous versions.
