Finding Faith

Film Description:

Finding Faith is based on a compilation of actual events that Sheriff Mike Brown has investigated through his Internet Crimes Against Children task force. In a recent Safe Surfin’ Foundation Public Service Announcement, one such victim courageously told the story of how she was abducted by a child predator and how she remained captive for three days before being rescued by the police.

She was last seen near her home in rural Virginia. The last contact her family had with her was seeing her walk down their driveway talking on her cell phone. The victim was met at the end of the driveway by two people who forced her into a pick-up truck at knife point. She was abducted and held hostage until police rescued her in Pittsburgh, PA.

“Caught in the Web… A Family Prevails”

Michael Brown, Sheriff of Bedford County, Virginia, explains, “This abduction occurred through the use of a cell phone and the new technology allowing kids to chat via these new smart phones.” The victim had been texting and chatting for several weeks by cell phone with someone she believed to be a 16 year-old boy. She felt the relationship was innocent and frequently chatted with the boy about normal teenage troubles. But the person she was chatting with was not really 16; he was actually a 38-year old man who disguised himself as the boy. He and a female companion drove over 400 miles from his home in Pittsburgh to abduct their victim.

On April 16th, 2013 – Becky said…Our church showed this movie last night while Eric Estrada promoted it. I would like to thank everyone involved in this for taking the time to better protect our children. As a parent of a teenager that stays on her phone I’m glad there is something out there now to help them realize how serious this really is. A big thanks to Mr. Eric for taking his time to come to a small church in H’burg, MS. That meant a lot to us.

Becky gave CFDb permission to share her comment on the page. Pass the word along and have this movie shown in your church as well!

I seen this movie this last Sunday @ Grace Church in Middleburg Hts,Ohio. Than on Monday not that far away three young ladies after 9,10, and 11 of years of being kidnap were found. I know God works. I just sad to see that things like this happen. And like Eric said its not just girls that this stuff happens to. My prayer would be that we are more in turn to what is going on in are world. We cant take are children right grow up. But got be on guard. Looking out for are children.

We have ten grandchildren two of which are 13 and 14 years old. We also have a Great Grand Daughter who will be 13. We bought the Lodi Pack as Erik called it, so we can show it to our Grand children. They are all so busy on the computers and texting these days. But they have good Christian families that monitor what they see and what they do on the computer. But as you know we do not always know everything they do. I felt this movie was and eye opener not only for the children but also for the parents. We can never be to careful. I pray everday that the LORD watches over our family. We had talks with our children when they were growing up about talking to strangers. But nowadays the predators are so smart in knowing how to lure these innocent children into believing what they say on the internet. I Thank God for the work that You and the other Officers do to protect our children. Thank You So much for making this film. I Pray that the children that were there tonight share what they saw and realize just how dangerous the internet can be. Thank you again for all your hard work that all of you put forth to save our children God Bless each and everyone of you. I am so glad that this child in the movie and the children in the warehouse were saved, as so many times it does not turn out that way. I Pray the Lord will continue to give you all the support and means that you need, Thank you again for opening the eyes of so many.

WOW! This film is well directed and the parts portrayed exceptionally by all, the film was as realistic as it can get not to be a real happening at the time story. It kept me glued to my seat, and very spiritually moving. Love to see actors not afraid to show their faith on screen as Estrada does in this film. This is top shelf material for certain, all Churches need to view this and invite all to join in to see it.
