A sweet film that shows how God takes care of us when we trust Him. I wish they would have gone a little farther showing what happened to each of the orphans.
After being left at the orphanage by her mother, 15-year-old Candy Walters is confused, angry, and in desperate need of a friend. Fortunately for Candy, the orphanage’s teacher and several other girls reach out in love. However, the orphanage’s administrator and an unethical business man strike up a shady deal to sell all the girls for personal gain. Catching wind of the plot, Candy and her new friends decide to save themselves by taking matters into their own hands. After running away, the girls wander aimlessly through Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in hope of finding someone who cares enough to help.
Through God’s loving direction, the girls are directed to the right people, including Candy’s divine encounter with Rachel Joy Scott, a Christian student from Columbine High School on vacation the summer before her tragic death. A heartwarming movie you won’t soon forget, this Dove-approved Dvd from Bridgestone Multimedia Group will transform your perspective on the value of family and friends.
