Film Synopsis
Autumn leaves gently rustle in the October breeze as the days shorten, and the nights grow darker. It’s been three peaceful years since evil walked the streets in the sleepy town of Smithfield. Laurie Curtis and her family have finally put the nightmare of the mysterious masked villain behind them, and life has returned to normal…until tonight.
While a raging storm is heading toward them, Laurie and her husband, Michael, attempt to enjoy a quiet dinner out with friends. At home, their favorite teenage babysitter keeps an eye on their precious children. The growing storm isn’t the only thing that threatens the safety of their home tonight. The sinister shape is back! The storm cuts off all access to the infamous Curtis house, and now the race is on to rescue the children and their sitter! Will faith conquer fear once again?
The latest faith-based thriller from the producers of Pray., Pray 2: The Woods, and Paranormal, Pray 3D: The Storm is a white-knuckle roller coaster ride of stunning 3D cinema and heart-pounding suspense that will leave viewers desperate to discover if faith will conquer fear once again. The DVD comes with 3D glasses, as well as a 2D version and a 3D TV option.

3D movies are supposed to be fun, but there is nothing fun about being in the Curtis house as the pending storm approaches. And once again, Cross Shadow Productions has taken what could have been a cookie cuter idea (the seemingly supernatural killer in 3D) and given it a life of its own. The story moves along at a fast pace and the 3D effects are just that…effects. Not a gimmick to carry the story. It is used to add visual punch to an already entertaining movie.
And as they do so well, the cast and crew of this most recent Cross Shadow film make their theological point without being heavy handed or making you root for the bad guy just to shut up some saccharine, scripture quoting Pollyanna.
I think I’ll be having a Paranormal/Pray 3D The Storm double feature for Halloween.
