Great concept. I especially loved Sam and felt Bernie Diamond was perfect casting.

Loved this movie which was given to me by a Jewish friend. What is the name of the hymn sung by the choir at the end of the movie? It has a Quaker quality to it with its traditional melody and simplicity.

We did a Movie and outreach with The Letter Writer. The Youth group came over and we watched The Letter Writer then after lunch they wrote notes of encouragements and we drove to a nearby park and gave out the notes of encouragements to people. Great movie it was a good day! :)

The hymn sung by the choir is “Come Thou Fount (of every blessing)”. The tune is not the one traditionally used and I am trying to find out what it is…it is very familiar.

I have two teen daughters and despite their Christian home they have both made some very poor choices and have paid dearly for their mistakes. We watched this film as a family and ironically I had found a beautiful skeleton key in my house and still have no idea where it came from? I had already watched the film and it took a few weeks before the time clicked for everyone to watch it together with everyone fighting my demands. After the film was over I held up the key and told my kids that the key would be by the door to remind them of their choices. My artist daughter wanted the key to hold that night and drew it for personalized stationary and has learned the song that was sung by Maggie. Words can’t express my gratitude of this film and the desire that it has drawn out in my daughters to pay it forward. We have ordered stationary, we are checking on ordering the movie in bulk and beginning our small movement…all from watching this simple film. Thank you!!
