Film Synopsis:

Meet Job, a wealthy, well-respected man who gives to the poor and offers sacrifices to the Lord. God has blessed Job with incredible wealth. In the words of his chief servant “The Lord’s blessing rests on Job because he is a righteous man.”

There are hints of trouble right from the start. Job’s chief servant reports sightings of a band of Sabean robbers. He reveals that one of Job’s sons engaged in questionable behavior at the last family feast, prompting Job to make a sacrifice at his place of prayer. It is here that God and Satan have an encounter and discuss Job.

Job discovers in a matter of minutes that he has lost his wealth, his servants, and his family. His response is to acknowledge God’s sovereignty. More trouble follows with the loss of his health, the rejection of his wife and close friends. Their conclusion is that Job must have done something to deserve his fate.

Despite his intense grief, Job continues to seek God whose ways he does not understand. There is a flicker of hope when Job’s wife has an encounter with God, prompting her reconciliation with Job. This marks the journey towards healing.
