CFDb Script Critique Service

Critique Your Christian Movie Script

CFDb will critique your Christian Movie Script and if favorable, will provide a recommendation letter for you to send to production companies.  Make sure to learn all you can about pitching your idea via email or phone or even in person if the opportunity presents itself.

Remember that production companies receive a LOT of unsolicited scripts/books and ideas so think of ways where your presentation would stand out.

Many Steps to Success

There are many steps to success in making a Christian film and/or writing a great script.  We want to highly recommend for filmmakers to get our e-book on “How to Make a Great Christian Film“.  There are a lot of tips within this e-book on every step of making a great Christian film.

For Scriptwriters there is a section on our helpful sites page just for you.  It’s important you check these resources out, especially if you are just starting out.  There are some great classes you can take for scriptwriting.

God may be calling you to write a Christian script but that doesn’t mean you don’t need advice or training.

CFDb will not review scripts or read books that have any cussing or sensuality/crudeness in them.

be greatWhat will CFDb Critique?

#1 – CFDb will read your script (Celtx) is a great resource for writing scripts.  (It’s important to make sure the script is in the script format and not just written as a book would be written).  We need to be able to visualize the scene in detail, etc.

#2 – CFDb will make suggestions and look for mistakes in dialogue.

#3 – CFDb will discuss the flow of the script.

#4 – CFDb will give a personal opinion as to the interest of the script itself.

#5 – CFDb will make comments and suggestions on the overall theme and if something seems missing.

#6 – If the script is favorable for a Christian movie, CFDb will write a recommendation that can be used in finding a Christian Production Company to purchase your script.

#7 – If the script is unfavorable then CFDb will give recommendations on how to proceed to make a more favorable script.

#8 – CFDb can help with grammar/spelling as well.

Just let us know what your specific needs are for your script and CFDb will help you!

CFDb will offer a service for Authors as well to determine whether their book might make a great Christian film.  This is $150 and would be different from a script critique. It the book is longer than 200 pages the price increases to $200.

#1 – The book would be read to determine the opinion whether it would make a great Christian Film.

#2 – Suggestions would be made as to what might make it better or what might need to be changed in order to fit a movie.

#3 – A recommendation letter would be written if the review is favorable that you can give to Production Companies in order to find someone interested or even to find a scriptwriter who would turn the book into a script with the necessary changes.

guarantee-300x300CFDb Guarantee & Cost

If you want something specific for your script, let us know and we’ll work with you in whatever way we can to make sure you are pleased with your critique.

If the critique is unfavorable or recommended to not use you can make the changes recommended and we’ll review it again for not charge.

We realize that with a script there would be an approximate time frame for your script.  You’ll need to have an idea of what you’re vision for the film would be if it were filmed.  As a guideline, it’s 1 minute of screen time per script page.

The Cost for critiquing a short film (under 1 hour) would be $25.00.  For a series it would be $25 per episode.

The Cost for critiquing a full feature film (60 min to 119 min) would be $100.00.

For a film (120 min or longer) would be $150.00.

CFDb will notify you the approximate time frame for the script review.  If you need a script reviewed quickly there will be an extra cost of $50.

DISCLAIMERCFDb cannot guarantee that a recommended script or book will be made into a film or that it will be a successful film.  It will take a lot of effort on your part to find the right production company and for that company to find the right director, cast and crew to make this happen.

I recently published book one of my Up Close & Personal Series, entitled “Caveat of Penitent.” Its currently on amazon with a few 5 star reviews as well. My Up Close & Personal Series is a collection of books centering around a certain theme.
2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

I currently have a few book trailers on youtube as well.
here are the links to my book trailers

I am interested in your services for authors, to determine if my book would make a great Christian film.

Seeing the dates on this website makes me wonder if this site is still current. If so, I have several short stories that I could easily turn into scripts if a professional lets me know I’m on the right track.

Thanks for your time. I look forward to hearing back from you. Kristina

I self-published the first book of my series based on the life of Methuselah in the pre-flood world. I have sold a great many books and everyone who reads it says the same thing; “This would make a great movie!” Do you think you could help me?
