Anna’s Heart on…
Conferences and Film Festivals
CFDb has only attended 1 Film Festival and 1 Film Conference and both were fabulous for different reasons. The main reason why everyone within the film industry, as well as Christian film lovers should attend is…
Networking is a WONDERFUL thing…for the outgoing and the shy. It’s amazing the connections that you make at a Christian event, especially a Christian conference or Film Festival.
Have you ever heard about how we are all connected through personal contacts within 6 people? For example, my mom had a neighbor whose son worked for President Obama so through 4 other people I am connected to the president. The more people I meet the more I find how small this world truly is.
There is 1 thing that should never be forgotten when networking. It’s not about what someone else can do for you…it’s really about what can you do for that particular person. When you focus on helping others and truly learning to listen, you’ll be amazed at the doors that God opens for you.
First Love Experience
You may find this hard to believe, but it was at the CMA Conference and the talk that Stephen Baldwin gave that led me back to my first love experience, deeper than ever before.
Part of the reason was because of the testimony he shared about his wife and her faith. I not only got down on my knees and rededicated my life to God fully and completely, but I began to dig deeper into the Word of God every day. That was October of 2014 and part of that revival was beginning to read the Bible aloud and combine this with my prayer time. Amazing. It’s made a huge difference in my life.
Now if you had asked me what I expected to get out of the CMA – Christian Media Association conference I would NOT have thought it would be a renewal of my faith, but that’s exactly what happened. God speaks to us in so many ways and perhaps He may speak to you too at your next film festival or conference.
Please share your testimony about how God used someone at a film festival or conference to touch your life.
