They have had notable guests, including Jeff Newburg and here are some of the episodes he is found in.
It is interesting to see the demographics of the people watching/listening to the reviews.
I especially LOVED the last one listed, “A podcast that Christians and atheists agree on? That’s too interesting to ignore.” – PODTHOUGHTS

Roger and I used to watch a lot of secular films and would spend time afterwards discussing them from a Biblical Perspective. One of those we discussed a lot was the movie, Braveheart. What a powerful film, yet my husband taped it and cut out the bad parts such as the really bad cussing and sex scene. Totally unnecessary, but caused us to not watch the movie anymore. Somehow over the years we lost that taped version and couldn’t past the bad parts.
There are 3 scenes in Braveheart that were SO powerful and reminded us SO much of the Bible.
- The scene with the stone being thrown by William Wallace – like David and Goliath.
- The betrayal scene (won’t give that away) – like Jesus and Judas (The only difference was that Jesus knew Judas was going to betray Him)
- The speech before the battle about living and death and freedom. (We did a Bible study out of that speech)
Although we don’t do this anymore, sticking just to the Christian films, there are many people that are still watching secular films. More Than One Lesson is a great resource for you by discussing the films with a Biblical Perspective. Don’t miss out on the chance to have or watch or listen to Biblical discussions, it always brings us closer to Jesus and His Word.
I even love the title, because it reminds me of the Bible itself…More than One Lesson seems to be in each verse or chapter, sometimes multiple applications. The Holy Spirit can bring even more to a verse each time, which is why the Bible never grows old…it’s Living and Powerful, just as it says in Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
