Grace in Christian Movies
Grace = The free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.
Last week I shared a verse with my Scripture of the Day list that really spoke to me.
II Corinthians 9:8 – And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
Granting grace instead of getting upset or angry or speaking words of unkindness…that is God’s way.
In Christian movies, more than anywhere else, we should see an abundance of Grace shown from one to another. One such film is ‘Grace Card‘. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, it’s time…especially if you are struggling with forgiving someone that has hurt you deeply.
Where would we, as Christians, be without grace? We would be entirely and completely lost. As God has granted us grace and forgiven us…so we are to show grace and forgive others. Grace is a beautiful thing!
There are quite a few Christian movies about Grace and even plenty with the word Grace in the title.
As we consider God’s grace, let us always remember that without grace, we are without hope. God’s love is all about grace and my heart sings when I see this grace in movies…Christian or secular. God’s grace can be found if we are really looking for it.
Ephesians 4:29 – Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
May we all receive God’s grace and and grant grace to others, especially in our words…all the time…
