More Than ConquerorsMore Than Conquerors

This series of thirteen awe-inspiring, exciting, and adventurous short films hosted by social entrepreneur, international speaker, networker, and writer Simon Guillebaud explore the calling to radical discipleship in the 21st century.

Traveling through some of the world’s most dangerous and war-torn zones (Burundi, Rwanda, Congo, Tanzania, Uganda, & Sudan), More than Conquerors challenges people to journey beyond the comfortable cross of contemporary Western Christianity, in order to become ‘more than a conqueror’.  These videos are perfect for church, youth, or outreach events, and represent excellent teachings for cell groups, by stimulating healthy amounts of discussion questions.

Crown Of Thorns Represents Jesus Crucifixion on Good Friday

Christianity is about JESUS and it’s risky business.  What powerful messages are presented in this series.  Here were some highlights:

  • Are we existing for Jesus or living for Jesus?  Living for Jesus is NOT safe!
  • Loved the bungee jumping analogy.
  • Safety isn’t the absence of danger, it’s the presence of God.
  • The attitude we all should have – I will do anything and go anywhere You want me to go.

This series challenges you the question, “Am I following Jesus or am I expecting Jesus to follow me?”  There were at least 2 true stories shared in this series that will stick with me forever. One story was beyond my understanding.  This very poor woman had nothing to give for offering week after week so one day she placed a silver coin for her offering and the pastor asked her about it.  She said she wanted to show her gratitude to Jesus for saving her so she sold herself as a slave for that 1 coin so she could help spread the word about Jesus to others.  Let that sink in.  Such unselfishness…such love for her Savior.  I want that kind of unselfishness!

We highly recommend this series. on DVD
