‘DIVINATION’ ~ CFDb Movie Review & Recommendation
Jason has been seeing strange things his entire life. His daily life includes seeing creatures and having vivid nightmares. These creatures seem to hate him, his entire life has been in a state of fear.
The visions and dreams are becoming more vivid and violent. His wife, Jessica, used to engage in ancient spiritual practices. Hoping they will aid Jason, she returns to those old ways. What is Jason seeing? Are they real? What do they want?
I want to start off by saying that I would not normally review a film that had any cuss words in it whatsoever but I made an exception here because of the topic. Even though I absolutely LOVED this film, I have to add a STRONG PARENTAL WARNING due to a few cuss words, as well as extreme spiritual warfare battles between the good vs. evil angels.
Roger & I have LONG awaited the day when someone would attempt to make this type of film and they did! BRAVO! I would have given it a 5 star and a high recommendation if it wasn’t for the few cuss words. Instead it just gets a recommendation which is worth a 4 star.
They did a FABULOUS job on the special effects for this film too. It was very unique and would love to find out how they were able to do that so well when so many others have a difficult time with it. It really was very well done (only from a film lover’s standpoint). We have no training at all in filmmaking.
We LOVED the beginning pictures as well, it fit perfectly for this movie.
I loved the way they explained how Divination was the gateway for all other demons to be allowed entrance into a person’s home. This very important to remember and very true.
So I do like to talk about my favorite character and D’Angelo Midili, who plays Jason was our favorite in this film. Excellent job! We hope to see him again soon in the future.
The other thing I want to mention are some words that are spoken during this film by the demon called “Fear”. I don’t want to give any spoilers here but it really is worth mentioning.
He said (and this may not be word for word exactly)…He loved to sit in a good graveyard knowing that under each tombstone is a soul that has never reached its real potential! NOW THAT IS SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT! Are we truly reaching our full potential as Christians? If not, then we are pleasing the devil, instead of our Savior.
Then it was mentioned how there are 2 types of people in this world…Those that talk, and those that do…
We need to seriously ask this question of ourselves? I know this movie caused me to look at my own life and Christianity.
