‘Facing The Giants’ ~
CFDb Movie Review & Recommendation
Never give up. Never back down. Never lose faith. Facing The Giants is the heart-warming story of a downtrodden Christian high school football coach who turns to God when everything seems to be going against him.
Trusting God to do the impossible, Coach Grant Taylor and his Shiloh Christian Eagles soon discover how faith plays out on the field and off.
This is one my favorites movies for a few different reasons! This is a movie that changes people! Many people actually gave their lives to Jesus after watching this film or even during the film itself. Now THAT is what I call a Christian film. It is a film where you actually seem to FEEL like the Holy Spirit is all over this film. This movie has humor mixed with some very serious issues and that makes this a great film!
The picture above is a powerful part of this film. This is what I consider a REACHING YOUR POTENTIAL moment. It shows me how much we can do with encouragement and it reminds me of the Scripture found in Philippians 4:13 (KJV) – “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
This man is my true example of a prayer warrior. He walks through the school, touching the lockers, holding his Bible, and praying for the souls of the children. FANTASTIC! Over the years I’ve read a lot of books on Intecessory prayer and it’s been my desire to become a true prayer warrior. It’s a learning process, but mostly you have to have a real burden for souls…that is this man…and that is what I desire more than anything for my life. God is training me but I still have a long ways to go!
This is another great moment in this movie. This was a moment of motivation, as well as of true faith. It was one of that David vs. Goliath moments. I highly recommend this film, it is one you WILL enjoy.
