‘Faultless: The American Orphan’ ~
CFDb Movie Review & Recommendation
Faultless: The American Orphan was created to inspire and equip Christ’s followers to more deeply love and care for hurting children in America. Faultless introduces people to Christian orphan care in America by providing an overview of the challenges facing children in foster care, an introduction on how the Bible instructs us to act in light of those challenges, and some hopeful examples of men and women across the country responding to the present needs in truly God-glorifying ways.
Faultless is intended to be a resource for churches, Sunday school classes, small groups, family discussions, and anyone looking to further explore what Christianity Today called the “burgeoning Christian orphan care movement” taking place within the church in America.
In addition to the film, the DVD includes a group discussion guide and educational information that will be helpful for anyone looking to learn a little more about the issue.Faultless was created by Unthinkable and Lavender Digital Media in collaboration with the Christian Alliance for Orphans and other leading Christ-centered ministries serving hurting children across America.
Have you ever even considered fostering or adopting a child? If you have, you MUST see this film. Now for the rest of the professed Christians out there who have never considered it…Then this is ALSO a MUST see documentary for you!
Remember this verse: James 1:27 – Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their afflliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Ever wonder what that means? After watching this, you will know! This is a film that will tug at your heartstrings.
This is a great resource tool! I would love for someone to take this film to every church in America and make the sort of commitment that 1 pastor in CO did with his congregation when they committed to taking 70 children. Incredible show of God’s love.
One couple mentioned that no matter what the outcome would be, they were committed to loving them with all their hearts while the foster children were with them. FANTASTIC.
This was such a moving documentary with some startling facts. I had never even heard of aging out which are the foster children who reach 18 with NO family. Can you even imagine that? I’m sure some of you can but I can’t imagine being all alone in this world. Who is to care for these little ones? It should be us, as Christians. Jesus is the ultimate orphan advocate…we were all orphans.
What is the real reason more people don’t adopt or do foster care? This film leads you to ask those questions as well.
The most powerful part of this documentary was the statement made about being pro life and our responsibility as Christians. It was a REAL wake up call. I urge you to watch this film! Show it to your church! Get involved…there are many ways to get involved.
