‘Midnight Reckoning’ ~ CFDb Movie Review
“Midnight Reckoning” originally released under the title: “The Fall of Night”!
Midnight Reckoning, directed by film maker, Derrick Warfel has a underlying spiritual theme throughout. The story deals with a simple question; if you had to justify what you have done with your life, would you be able to do it?
If you like to watch movies that ask life’s big questions, you’re in for a treat you won’t soon forget. This film will make you think on a deeper level. Don’t miss it. Midnight Reckoning is a special hybrid genre of a psychological thriller, Sci-fi and Horror all mixed in, It’s a thriller shot is in the style of “Inception”, “Twilight Zone” and “Memento”, with a David Lynch flair.
If you like his movies you’ll love “Midnight Reckoning”. The movie is somewhat controversial because of the mixture of the word ‘horror” and “spiritual” but the ultimate message comes through loud and clear. It toys with your mind, teases your imagination, plays on your deepest fears and securities. It undermines your deepest securities. The paradigm constantly shifts where you can never be really sure what is real.
This is such a UNIQUE Christian film! Highly enjoyable to watch! We do indeed reap what we sow…except when it comes to salvation. None of us deserves it! Marvelous grace! This movie is one we recommend watching, it’s a keeper! Although it’s been rated PG-13 it really doesn’t have much in it although for small children it could be quite frightening. We just LOVE films that are different! Not weird, different, just not the normal. I hope I’ve said enough to entice you to get this film! I hope you love it as much as we did.
We absolutely LOVE Tony Longo. He was also in “Road to Redemption” which is such a hilarious film, mostly because of him. If you haven’t seen that one, it sure does make you laugh and has a serious message in there as well.
So Tony is great in this one too, as usual! Check out the CFDb Interview with Tony.
You may wonder why some of our films have recommendation in them and some do not. Although we may enjoy a LOT of Christian films we only put the recommendation on the ones that we really think you will like. That means 4 star or 5 star films in our opinion. We love some 3 star films as well and even find some blessing in the 2 star films. A 1 star won’t make the blog in most instances, unless it’s a strong recommendation against the film. We base our judgment on a lot of things, but mostly the Christian aspect of it, and then other important things like acting, cinematography, music score, etc.
