‘Not A Fan:A Follower’s Story ~
CFDb Movie Review &
The Not a Fan Movie, “A Follower’s Story” is an adaptation of the original DVD series to a full-length feature film. “A Follower’s Story” includes scenes from the original study, as well as teaching by Kyle Idleman, to create a great opportunity for churches and families to watch the Not a Fan message in its entirety.
Follow the journey of Eric Nelson, a man leading a compartmentalized triple life as a pleasure-seeking rebel, a cutthroat corporate executive, and a nominal Christian. But when confronted with a near death experience, Eric embarks on a spiritual journey that transforms his commitment to Jesus Christ and tests the faith of his friends and family.
It’s common knowledge that after a sermon it’s difficult to remember what it’s about, which is why I always take notes during a sermon. It is also well known that if you add drama to a teaching it can be remembered a lot better. That is what this docu-drama/teaching is all about.
We would highly recommend this. Great for Bible studies, youth groups or for home worship. It gives you a lot to discuss, especially the main point that Jesus isn’t looking for FANS but for FOLLOWERS and there is a HUGE difference.
There is an analogy given during this docu-drama that is one of the best I’ve ever heard. It was so good I still remember it and want to share it with my friends as well. You will have to see this to find out for yourself so you can comment about it as well.
The true question to ask yourself is, “Am I just a fan or a true follower of Jesus”?
