‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ ~
CFDb Movie Review

The new original series ‘Signed,Sealed, Delivered‘ is a wonderful combination of romance, comedy and drama that follows the lives of four postal detectives who transform themselves into a team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail.

Their missions take them out of the office where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow always on time.

The team includes charming Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius), the group’s leader is a man of faith who prayerfully approaches his work with the goal of making a difference in people’s lives; new team member, Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth), a technophile who brings 21st century sensibility to the group; free-spirited, “girl next door” Rita Haywith (Crystal Lowe) who has a photographic memory; and lovable Norman Dorman (Geoff Gustafson), a master in conventional research methods.

Sneak Preview

Signed, Sealed, Delivered

What sparked our interest in this series was the fact that it was created and executive produced by Martha Williamson, who also created, ‘Touched by an Angel‘, one of my favorite series of all time.

Although this one doesn’t carry my favorite message, “God Loves You”, it is still a great series, with bits and pieces of wonderful things happening.  Here are a couple of things I like about the series and why I keep coming back to watch more:

  • The fact that we ARE our brother’s keeper, seems to come out in each episode.
  • How each of the main characters are just ordinary people, doing extraordinary things.

DO NOT miss this upcoming episode of ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered‘ about this down syndrome couple, by far my favorite episode.  We were blessed to see a sneak preview and so I highly recommend you watch this Sunday’s episode on 5/25 on the Hallmark Channel.  I would love to hear your thoughts about this particular episode.

FINAL UPDATE for Season 1

The more I watch this series, the more I love it and such simple ways that God is brought up during the episodes.  LOVE IT!

I LOVE the way this quirky group, mesh so great together.  A group of misfits where most of us can relate to at least one of them.

Just watched the 2nd to last of the season and really looking forward to the season finale.  How many of you are wanting another season?  I know I am!

Well – totally annoyed at the way they ended it – I thought my machine missed the ending.  Called my mother in law to find out what really happened and she said it ended the same way for her.  UGH.  Talk about a cliffhanger – hope they make a 2nd season.

Eric Mabius, who plays Oliver in this series is fabulous – he plays the part excellently and looking forward to continuing to watch this series.  I do hope it stays around for awhile!

But WHO couldn’t love Rita?  She really makes the show for a lot of people I believe.  Great job for everyone!

This incredible series even incorporates scripture in its themes and in the conversations between characters.

The American Bible Society has built a bible study to go with the series,

A seven-day Bible reading experience to dig deeper into the meaningful biblical themes revealed in each episode of Signed, Sealed, Delivered.
