The Christmas Pageant
When a temperamental Broadway director is fired from yet another job, she is forced to direct a community Christmas pageant.
Although this is not really a Christian film, it was a great film! Hallmark does not disappoint! We could not actually list this one on the database because it wasn’t Christian, but it was inspirational. I love to see movies where people inspire other people to change. The little girl Lennon Wynn, who played Kristen was GREAT in this! She was my favorite.
What I loved most was that the movie showed how to make everyone feel important. There is greatness in all of us, because God created all of us and has a plan for all of us, even if we don’t know it or walk in it.
I read a verse just this morning in Psalm 33:15 – He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.
I really thought about this for awhile this morning. All of our hearts alike? Does that mean my heart is as awful as the worst murderer? I know there is another verse that says our hearts are desperately wicked and who can know it?
So…the bottom line is that God fashions all our hearts alike to mean that we are are given the desire to find Him, to love Him, to serve Him, as well as a perfect plan for our lives. He gives us that ability to overcome, that ability to serve Him. It is only our free will that really ruins it. Something to seriously think about…no excuses for our behavior if we really believe this. We are a people of choice.
