Ann grew up memorizing and reciting lines from movies. Her Dad was a big influence on her. He would tell her and her brother facts about history and the story behind the movies, and quiz them on literature and music, primarily from the medieval/renaissance eras. Every year Ann and her family would go to the Renaissance Faire to be surrounded by actors in costumes and music from the past. This passion of hers spread to her friends. They would write stories together and then grab their handheld cameras and film in their backyards with costumes and props. From an early age, it was clear she enjoyed performing.
In grade school, she performed in the local Starshine Theater’s play, ‘The Odyssey’ as Dawn and Persephone. From 1st through 4th grade, she took Irish dancing and competed in numerous competitions, winning trophies and medals. In middle school she took Theatre and in high school she had classes in Film Study, Photography, and Art. In addition, she played Freshmen, JV and Varsity basketball, coached by Christy Winters-Scott. Having an ear for music, she bought a keyboard and taught herself to play the piano and guitar and began composing music.
It was in her senior year of high school, after a field trip to the New York Film Academy with her TV Production class, that she finally decided she wanted to pursue acting. She graduated with letters in academics and athletics and then attended Northern Virginia Community College for Voice and Music Theory.
In 2013, she competed in the National AMTC ‘Shine’ convention in Florida, participating in the showcases: On-Camera, Group Improv, Photography, Fashion Runway, TV Presenter, Scene Read and Cold Read, and was awarded a partial scholarship to the New York Film Academy. She plans to attend there for a degree in Associate of Fine Arts.
She continues to follow God and inspire others with her gifts. In her free time, she enjoys training in parkour, playing basketball, composing music, making costumes, writing stories and filming with her friends.
