I was born in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1992, to Christian parents. From a very young age, I developed a strong interest in filmmaking and storytelling. Being a homeschool student from pre-K through high school provided the time and opportunity to channel my interests in filmography. With my own camcorders and computers I have written scripts for, acted in, filmed, directed, produced, and edited numerous short films for family and friends.
For two years in high school I was responsible for producing marketing-type videos for our nationally competitive B.E.S.T. Robotics team. I also produced entertaining videos, highlighting the more humorous side of our team’s activities. In 2010 I enrolled at Pensacola Christian College in the Media Production program, where I have since been a student.
Besides operating cameras for the Campus Church, I serve as a puppeteer for children’s ministries and helped construct sets for stage plays. I auditioned and was selected for several theater productions, including two Gilbert and Sullivan operettas (H.M.S. Pinafore and The Mikado), and an adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. I was also cast in several student-directed productions including an adaptation of O. Henry’s “The Romance of a Busy Broker,” and graduate productions including “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
