Born 1950. Was a part of the Sixties conterculture, until suffering conviction about the movement’s hypocrisy and finally giving his life to Jesus during an LSD trip in 1969.

Holds degrees in Theology, Medical Technology, and Computer Programming / Systems Analysis.
Released two albums of mostly original Gospel songs, in 1978 and 1981.

Moved from being a pure writer (fiction and nonfiction), to doing film reviews for conservative websites beginning in 1998, to screenwriting for the sales market beginning in 2000, to writing “cheaper,” no-budget Indie scripts and producing them himself beginning in 2004. Normally writes a role for himself in his films (and also works as an actor in other people’s films and on stage). Took over directoral duties on the films he produced, beginning in December 2005. Took over editing, beginning in 2010.

The films he produces and directs are written from an Evangelical / conservative worldview, but they are not faith-based in the sense of being aimed at a specifically Christian audience. Rather, they’re designed to be seen by a general audience who will hopefully go away from the film thinking about issues that are seldom raised in films of any genre.
