Actor Jim Thompson was born in Flushing, NY and spent most of his childhood in the Cayman Islands. After returning to the States in 1996, he currently resides in Jacksonville, FL. Ever since he was young, Jim has enjoyed being in front of an audience and the camera. He has performed in several different plays and skits for churches throughout the years.
3 years ago, Jim recognized the need to use his talent for God specifically in the film industry. He started training with the renowned and esteemed acting coach, Cindy Hogan in Jacksonville, FL. He has acted in several different short films including the lead role in a 2011 short film entitled “When Dad Ran” for the 48 Hour Film Festival in Jacksonville.
Jim loves playing roles that offer emotional challenges for the character. He plans on producing and acting in a faith-based feature film that he wrote. Jim has a love and passion for acting. He intends to use his talent in roles and films that will exemplify his beliefs and faith in Jesus Christ.
Jim is willing to travel mostly anywhere in the U.S. for the right project.
