Began as a part time on-air radio personality for Radio One Detroit, graduated to voiceovers, after joining SAG/AFTRA acquired an agent and began doing on-camera commercials. Left radio to pursue full time acting career. Studied in West Hollywood California at The Lee Strasberg Theater Institute.
Began doing professional theater upon moving back to Michigan for a music career. Released an independent pop/rock album “Rock Steady: and began performing throughout the Metro Detroit area in different outdoor festivals. Published a book called “Simple Wisdom” by L.L. Smith, to document the spiritual and earthly battles one can endure when following purpose and chasing their dreams.
Joined AEA (Actors Equity Assoc.) and booked first professional play at The Detroit Repertory Theater. Has since worked as a professional actor for Film, Stage and Television. Lisa, is now represented by Houghton Talent in Atlanta,GA and Productions Plus/The Talent Shop in Detroit,MI for Film/TV work. Film credits include : “Family Weekend”, “Street Kings 2 – Motor City”, Television: “Detroit 187”, Theater: “Xanadu”, “Race”, “Something Wicked This Way Comes”. Winner of 2 Best Female Actor Awards.
