Shannon C. Lanier
Founder & Executive Producer of DARK RONIN Films
Shannon discovered early on that the key to making a successful mark in this industry is to not limit himself to just one side of the camera. With this idea firmly in his mind he’s found himself attached to over 35 projects – from big budget films to low budget works and independent productions; and that’s just been in the past two years alone. His resume now includes theater and film acting, producing, directing, and has even ventured into the music industry. Becoming versatile and learning every aspect to filmmaking has opened up more possibilities than he could have imagined.
Shannon has read his fair of scripts but eventually he decided he wanted something of his own. He had his own story to tell. Believing that if you write about something you know, you can create something truly real, organic, and powerful. So he sat down and took events from his own life, combined it with countless hours of research, and he created November Lies, the first feature film to be debuted under the DARK RONIN Films label.
November Lies tells a personal story but a very relatable one. It’s a story that needs to be told, needs to be seen, and he hopes that the audience will walk away from the film with a new approach to living their life as well as a better understanding of themselves.
November Lies has already garnered so much attention from not only the United States and Canada, but overseas as well, which proves that Shannon isn’t the only person to believe that this story needs to be told.
From this dramatic project came the concept for BATTLE OF RIPCORD. THE SUMMER BEFORE, SU CASA, BUFFALO, AND WE WAIT and POLITICO.
