Donald James Parker did it again with Best Friends Eternally. He is a master at films that are both relevant and thought provoking. Not only does it touch on issues that we all face but it compels you to consider your own beliefs on them as well.

Royce Henry does a great part in the role of Jackson. You find yourself quite invested in his journey, almost forgetting that it’s a film and Jackson is just a character in it. Jackson (Royce) is a good representation of that post of us that searches for truth. A very relatable film. Not only do I recommend it but I have bought multiple copies to share!

The dynamic duo is back and they brought company! Another great piece by Donald James Parker. In this sequel, we are once again challenged to consider some serious issues but with a very light-hearted feel. The characters have you laughing with their friendly banter and humorous quips.

Royce Henry delivers a very likeable portrayal of Jackson, an easy favorite. From his conversations to his facial expressions, he makes you feel like Jackson had been your friend for years. We are introduced to two more lovely characters and by the end of the film, you’ll be waiting to see what happens in the next one. I know I am!

“Best Friends Recycled” is not necessarily a sequel, but rather a continuation of Donald James Parker’s previous film “Best Friends Eternally”. I recommend you see the first film before viewing this, although it’s not essential.

This is a delightful film laced with natural humor espousing a mature and godly view of dating, relationships and marriage responsibilities. It does not even back away from a controversial subject and does not treat that subject in other than a Christian view. And of course it leaves the door open for third installment of Best Friends.

This film mirrored the meeting, dating and marriage of my wife and myself. My wife and I connected with this film because of that. We both loved it. I highly recommend it.

This film would make a perfect gift for any of your friends that are over 50 years of age. Although kids will get the humor, as well as a lesson in what real marriage and relationships are all about, when you place God first.

Other Donald James Parker movies that I recommend are “In Gramps Shoes,” “Gramps Goes to College,” “The Unexpected Bar Mitzvah” and “Love Waits.”
