CFDb Review!

Divided is an absolute “MUST SEE” for all Pastors, Youth Ministers, and Parents. Anyone who wants to see the children and youth walking in the ways of Christ…this is the documentary to watch. Wonderfully done and powerful truthful! A call to action!

Film Synopsis:

There is a crisis. Christian youth are rapidly leaving evangelical churches for the world. This well-recognized disaster has been the topic of significant discussion in recent years for both church leaders and modern news media.

DIVIDED follows young Christian filmmaker Philip LeClerc on a revealing journey as he seeks answers to what has led his generation away from the church.

Traveling across the country conducting research and interviewing church kids, youth ministry experts, evangelists, statisticians, social commentators, and pastors, Philip discovers the shockingly sinister roots of modern, age-segregated church programs, and equally shocking evidence that the pattern in the Bible for training future generations is at odds with modern church practices. He also discovers a growing number of churches that are abandoning age-segregated Sunday school and youth ministry to embrace the discipleship model that God prescribes in His Word.

This message was needed about 25yrs ago, but it is so very relevant and necessary for this generation now. My fear is that we are too late in bring such truth to the war front. If it pleases the Lord to tarry, may He use this movie for the edification and building of the true Church of Jesus Christ and bring conviction upon all who see it leading unto repentance and forgivness of sins.

    God bless,

This video has sectarian tendencies and looks more like a “how not to do things” comedy than an actual documentary. Argumentatively, it starts off with wrong premises that lead to a fallacious conclusion about the family on the church. It proposes an unbiblical church cult and a christian life that tends to be Unfrouctiferous but “biblical”. The passages are terribly Twisted and misinterpreted. Lots of interviews are edited out of context to please the “filmmaker’s” point of view. The whole Video is unacademic and a shame to the christian church and should Not be watched without the guidance of your local pastor. This video disguises its attacks towards the church with fake family oriented ideals that are unreliable, unbiblical and unpractical, unless you are a rich american.

It’s hard for me to comment since I haven’t since this film in awhile and I can’t remember it now. I know that I recommended it and thought it was a powerful call to action. I know that not everyone agrees with each movie or documentary.
