The excitement of Will Turner’s high school graduation is interrupted by news of his brother’s tragic suicide. Struggling with anger and grief, Will determines to discover why his beloved brother, Paul, decided to end his life.
After days of introspection and counseling with friends, Will is unable to find answers. The day before graduation, Will receives Paul’s suicide letter. Will is overcome with the realization that not only is he void of answers, but he has never even faced the question that drove Paul to suicide, “What is the meaning and purpose of life?”
The Question, a winner of numerous international film awards, is one of the most compelling short films of all time. Kevin Cushing, of Contemporary Christian Magazine, says, “The Question is much more than an opening for evangelism. It also represents a significant artistic achievement…
Well-supplied with humor and moments that catch your breath, The Question is compellingly subjective in its composition. Shot selection, camera movement, and editing provide rich directorial comment to the action, without ever becoming obtrusive.”
