The Attachment is a British supernatural film.

For those who love an intelligent spooky mystery, without the commonplace gore, nudity and profanity, the Attachment is a story which draws the audience into a mystery that intertwines five lives across 30 years. Initially focusing on the life of two characters, the story begins in the fall of 1989, within the leafy suburbs of London, United Kingdom.

A young girl becomes the focus for paranormal entities which she calls “night people.” These entities continue their intrusions, causing her great distress. The film picks up the story, as Abigail’s parents in desperation, call on the aid of a peculiar religious sect known as the “Keppers De Masura” to help rid the girl of the intrusions. Things end horribly of course, and an orphaned girl is left to deal with the ramifications of that fateful decision.

A very well made Amateur Film, certainly worthy of their recognition!

I am a bit of a horror film connoisseur, In my younger years I watched ALL of them! I loved the adrenaline I think – much the same way some other people would enjoy riding a rollercoaster. The best part about a horror film though, is I could feel that feeling whilst knowing it wasn’t real and the reality was I was completely safe and when the movie ended – it was over.

Nowadays – as an adult, I’m not a huge fan, I prefer comedy and drama and even documentaries.

With this being said, I wasn’t too excited about reviewing this film, but I can say I was surprised at the quality. I LOVED the lack of Hollywood exaggeration. The movie reminds me a bit of the old “exorcist” films but without all the cheesy behaviour and grossness of the “demon”. Also a big difference is the messaging.

In the second half of this film there would be “screen breaks” to further go into detail on Gods role over what is evil and how we, together, can overcome it with Him.

I would definitely recommend this film for those fellow Christians who enjoy the occasional thrill of a horror film.
