CFDb July 2014 Newsletter
To Our Fellow Christian Film Lovers!
July – This is the month Americans celebrate their freedom. We, as Christians, need to do the same. God has saved us and see us free – from what? Sin and the Penalty of Eternal Death. Now that is something to REALLY celebrate. Now, let us walk in that newness of life He’s given us!
Exodus 20:2 – I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
CFDb – 5 Star Christian Movie Recommendation:
Youth of Christ follows the story of a youth group with a reputation for mediocrity as they struggle to plan and execute a youth revival at their church. The film begins when Casey, a 25 year old fresh out of seminary school, is hired as the new leader of the young adult ministry.
Known as a bunch of lazy teenagers, this ministry’s activities has been limited to church movie nights and game nights. Once Casey is hired, the ministry is challenged to step out of their comfort zone and do something big for Jesus Christ. Will the youth group prove that they are capable of doing the extraordinary? Or will they crumble under the pressure and prove the naysayers right?

= > What was your first acting role?
My first acting role was a theater production of Tennessee Williams’ “The Strangest Kind of Romance.” I was 26 at the time and I played The Old Man. It was a great role and from that I got cast as the lead in another play; “Picasso at The Lapin Agile.” That audition went really bad, but I booked the part from my work as The Old Man. My first on camera was a 5 min silent student short. I was thrilled to have got cast in a “movie” at the time!
