‘Left Behind ~
CFDb Movie Review & Recommendation

Left Behind

This movie follows the epic story of a small group of survivors after millions of people suddenly vanish and the world is plunged into chaos and destruction.

Without warning hundreds of millions of people around the globe simply vanish – including every child. All that remains are their clothes and belongings and chaos and terror like never before. Suddenly unmanned vehicles crash and burn. Emergency forces everywhere are depleted. Gridlock, rioting and looting are rampant with no one to help or give answers.

For RAY STEELE, the pilot of a jumbo jet, it means trying to calm his hysterical passengers who saw loved ones vanish before their eyes. It also means trying to land his damaged plane when every airport is jammed with burning wrecks and while wishing that he could talk to his family one last time.

For CHLOE, Ray’s daughter back on the ground, it means trying to find her younger brother who disappeared from her very arms. Fighting through a post-apocalyptic landscape, Chloe makes it home but her mom is gone too. Despair and rage rule the day.

This movie will begin a movie series based on the bestselling books!

Sneak Preview

Left Behind

Prepare to be surprised by this ‘Left Behind’ masterpiece.  Expect to be on the edge of your seat.  Here were some highlights:

  • I was surprised at how many great actors were in this film and a great casting job for each role.
  • Moments of REAL laughter.  Totally unexpected.
  • Intense, edge of your seat moments and GREAT special effects.
  • The very first show of rapture was BRILLIANTLY done.  So unique.
  • Some interesting side characters that added to the overall film.
  • The quote, “If you look hard enough you’ll see what ever you want”, even if you have to ignore a lot.
  • Chloe’s statement to the pastor is fantastic.  You’ll have to pay attention to catch it.
  • There is at least 1 really touching moment.

Although there wasn’t a lot of Christianity in this film per se, we didn’t want to see this movie end.  But when it did end, there was a surprise and we are looking forward to the sequel.

Martin Klebba - Left BehindMartin Klebba

Martin Klebba, who plays one of the airline passengers is HILARIOUS.  He really brought some great moments to this delightful film.  Not sure if he’ll sneak his way into any of the sequels but I sure hope he does.

I just returned from watching ” Left Behind : now the end begins ” In the theater.

It was a very good movie. I recommend it. Even though I don`t believe the rapture is Biblical. I believe Jesus will come one time and we won`t get a second chance.
It still had good Christian values. And it was very well made.

Ofcourse rapture is biblical, though the word rapture was not mentioned in the Bible, how rapture is being describe is stated in the book of Revelation. There will be great tribulation when Jesus comes again. Just like what the movie said, we need to be ready.

I think most Christians believe there will be a rapture. The disagreement is the secret rapture and life continuing on for a few more years vs. Jesus’ 2nd coming and the rapture happening at the same time where no more chances to repent will be given.

By far the worse film I have ever seen!! The dialogue is atrocious, the acting is embarrassing, the special effects are comical and just all round a waste of nearly 2 hrs of my life! I am a huge Nicholas Cage fan and can’t belive he has let himself be seen portraying captain Steel in this shockingly shoddy movie! This film is supposed to be aimed at a Christian audience by the looks of it but I see no reason for Christians to admire this film any more than watching songs of praise on a Sunday morning!! One example of the crapness of this film is Captain Steel does not once get upset or even ask about his son who has vanished into the unknown probably because he is too busy trying to get the flight attendant into his bed!! I will give this film a -1 because I’m feeling generous!! Steer clear!!

First of all, I actually liked the original Left Behind movies; however, this movie is a waste of time. For the majority of the movie, nobody knows why the people have vanished. Majority of the movie takes place when the people are on the plane. There are comments that are made against God and Christians and NO rebutal was made. There were Kool-Aid and brain washing comments. Both the lady who bought the book and the pastor were seen as weak Christians. There was no urgency to accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. There was no urgency to be ready because the end is coming. Don’t waste your money on renting this movie. If you haven’t seen God’s Not Dead, I highly recommend it instead.

Loved it! Much better acting than other Christian based films I have seen over the years. Great book series and I am glad to see the movie updated to keep the message current. Thank you and I hope to see more. No one wants to be left behind, so be ready. Thank you again.
