‘The Confession’ ~ CFDb Movie Review & Recommendation
Based on the novel by New York Times best-selling author Beverly Lewis, “The Confession” is the continuing story of Katie Lapp, a young Amish woman who goes on a journey in search of her identity – only to find herself embroiled in a mystery that must be solved before she can be reunited with the “Englisher” mother who gave her up to adoption 20 years earlier.
‘The Confession’ is the sequel to ‘The Shunning‘ and based on one of Beverly Lewis’ books. There is some incredible deception in this film. You’ll understand what I mean after you’ve seen it!
It’s easy to really get attached to Katie & Laura’s characters in this film quickly. Both are innocent and show great Christian traits and who knew Katie Leclerc could sing.
What did I think of this one? It’s a really great film, a very typical Hallmark type movie. If you like Hallmark films, this is one you’ll love. It may be a good idea to watch ‘The Shunning’ again just before you watch this one. You can still watch this as a stand alone film, but I wish I could remember everything from the last movie since I didn’t read the book series. Heritage of Lancaster County.
Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the sequel to this one…’The Reckoning‘, the last of the series.
