War Room

Prayer Is A Powerful Weapon!

From the award-winning creators of Fireproof and Courageous comes WAR ROOM, a compelling drama with humor and heart that explores the power that prayer can have on marriages, parenting, careers, friendships, and every other area of our lives.

Tony and Elizabeth Jordan have it all—great jobs, a beautiful daughter, and their dream house. But appearances can be deceiving. Tony and Elizabeth Jordan’s world is actually crumbling under the strain of a failing marriage. While Tony basks in his professional success and flirts with temptation, Elizabeth resigns herself to increasing bitterness. But their lives take an unexpected turn when Elizabeth meets her newest client, Miss Clara, and is challenged to establish a “war room” and a battle plan of prayer for her family. As Elizabeth tries to fight for her family, Tony’s hidden struggles come to light. Tony must decide if he will make amends to his family and prove Miss Clara’s wisdom that victories don’t come by accident.

Opening nationwide in theaters August 28 and filled with more of the authentic characters loved by millions in previous Kendrick Brothers’ films, WAR ROOM is a vivid reminder that prayer is a powerful weapon.

Sneak Preview

WOW!  What a Spirit filled film and an eye opening experience about prayer.  Here were some highlights:

  • Having a strategy for prayer for every area of your life.
  • True spiritual warfare and what a real prayer life should look like.
  • Some real humor in the midst of a very serious film.
  • The life we’ve been given should never be taken for granted.
  • Fight the right way…against the real enemy.
  • Victories don’t come by accident.
  • We seek God and stand on His Word, but God does the heavy lifting.
  • The main character’s little girl…a real gem.
  • God is the only One that can change us or anyone else.  We need to stop trying to change people…especially our spouses.  Our families need our prayers, not our whining.

There are so many gems in this film that I don’t want to name them all.  This is a film that will change your life if you will let it.  I know it changed mine.

Went to see this film a 2nd time and took 5 pages of notes.  Loved it even more the 2nd time.  What a powerful, Holy Spirit filled movie.  HIGHEST recommendation!

Mr. Alex Kendrick’s and Mr. Stephen Kendrick’s,

Hello. I wasn’t sure how to get this message to the both of you. I never knew about your movies until a friend told me about them. I have watched them all and they are all just wonderful. I have laughed and cried. I am a very good catholic women and I believe in God and the gift he has given you both. You have both done a wonderful job again. I sent the note to the lady below and I never heard back at all. So I looked again for a way to get my message to you. Thank you both. Keep it up. Thank You, and GOD Bless you both. Francine Rodino.

I went to the movie last night with my husband and girlfriend. First we had to drive to St. Augustine because our theatre in Palm Coast didn’t think this was going to be a hit. Oh my goodness, the theatre at the time we went (7:30) had maybe a dozen seats open. The place was full. The ages of people were from seniors to young adults to children. I was at first surprised at the amount of kids. Boy they learned a lot last night if they have never been in any of these situations. There were people laughing, crying and at so many times we were all clapping.
As for the actors. Elizabeth, Tony and Miss Clara. I will tell you the Kendrick’s picked some wonderful people for those roles. Tony had such a hard face at first, then when he realized all his mistakes and how he treated his wife and daughter. He was happy, sad, and wonderful. Elizabeth, what a women. She learned so well from Miss Clara. I felt bad for her with the feet problems and then her breath. Oh but how often in movies do you really see what a person has to deal with. The Kendrick’s really knew it would be a funny. As for Miss Clara. She was like Miss Cicely Tyson. That women is a fantastic actress. I don’t know if Miss Clara got some ideas from watching Cicely, but she was the perfect person for this part she played. I can’t stop hearing her in my mind. Thank you Miss Clara. Keep it up.
There was a gentlemen that did a little write up on Facebook. I was trying to send a message to the Kendrick’s and I guess that is where I saw the face book write up. I don’t use face book, but I wish that man a little tummy ache. He said he never watched any of the four others and he wasn’t going to waste his time on this one.. People like him need a slap in the face and a wake up call as to who our Lord is and what he can do for you.
I was also glad the both Kendrick’s also got a little piece in the movie too. They are always a joy to see. I knew Alex was going to do the right thing with Tony and not put him away. Also Stephen for not letting Tony and the kids come in first place with the jump rope contest. It is almost always the family that is on the show comes in first. That was wonderful too. Next time they can try harder. Thank you again for a wonderful movie. God Bless the Kendrick’s for all these wonderful talents. I look forward to the next movie. God Bless and Thank You, CFDb for Francine Rodino

I’m not sure how to forward this message to the Kendrick brothers as we don’t have their e-mail address but hopefully they’ll be checking the pages to find comments about their film.
